本刊創(chuàng)刊于1985年，是由中國科學院主管，中國科學院山西煤炭化學研究所主辦，科學出版社出版，向國內(nèi)外公開發(fā)行的國家級學術(shù)刊物(季刊)?？d內(nèi)容為有關(guān)炭材料及其分支學科的基礎(chǔ)科學、技術(shù)科學和與炭材料有關(guān)的邊緣學科領(lǐng)域研究的最新成果，設(shè)有研究論文、研究簡報、綜述、專論、學術(shù)活動信息等欄目。主要讀者對象是從事與炭材料的研究、制造、應用、教學有關(guān)的廣大科技工作者和高等院校師生。
