（一） Excuse for Speeding

A cop pulled a car over on the highway for speeding. When he asked for the drivers license， the driver argued， “Speeding？ But officer， I was only trying to keep a safe distance between my car and the car in back of me.”

超速的理由

警察命令一輛超速的車子停到公路邊。當他要駕駛員出示駕照時，這位駕駛員卻爭辯說：“超速？可是警官，我只是試著要讓我的車和后面的車子保持安全距離啊?！?/p>

（二） Like Father， Like Son

“When Abraham Lincoln was your age，” the father told his son， “he used to walk ten miles every day to get to school.”

“Really？” the kid said. “Well， when he was your age， he was president.”

一位父親告訴他兒子：“亞伯拉罕·林肯跟你一樣大時，他每天走10英里去上學。”
