A little boy and his grandfather are raking (用耙子耙) leaves in the yard. The little boy finds an earthworm (蚯蚓) trying to get back into its hole. He says, \"Grandpa, I bet I can put that worm back in that hole.\" The grandfather replies, \"I'll bet you five dollars you can't. It's too wiggly (扭動(dòng)的) and limp (軟的) to put back in that little hole.\"
The little boy runs into the house and comes back out with a can of hairspray (噴發(fā)定型劑). He sprays the worm until it is straight and stiff as a stick. Then he puts the worm back into the hole.
The grandfather hands the little boy five dollars, grabs the hairspray, and runs into the house. Thirty minutes later the grandfather comes back out and hands the little boy another five dollars. The little boy says, \"Grandpa, you already gave me five dollars.\" The grandfather replies, \"I know. That's from your grandma.\"
The phone rings at FBI headquarters.
\"Hello?\"
\"Hello, is this the FBI?\"
\"Yes. What do you want?\"
\"I'm calling to report my neighbor Adrian Thibodeaux! He is hiding marijuana (大麻) inside his firewood.\"
\"Thank you very much for the call, sir.\"
The next day, the FBI agents descend on Thibodeaux's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes (斧), they bust (擊碎) open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They swear at (咒罵) Thibodeaux and leave.
The phone rings at Thibodeaux's house.
\"Hey, Adrian! Did the FBI come?\"
\"Yeah!\"
\"Did they chop (剁碎) your firewood?\"
\"Yep.\"
\"Great, now it's your turn to call. I need my garden plowed (耕).\"
