Situated in the southern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nan-ning neighbors Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao SAR, as well as Southeast Asia. As the only coastal city of all of Chinas capital titles, Nanning boasts a favorable geographical location. Being close to the sea, along the Yongjiang River, and along the Chinese-Vietnamese border, it serves as the most convenient link between the South China Sea and southwest China, a convergence point in the Southeast Asian Economic Circle. It is also a fron-tier city connecting China to the ASEAN countries.
