According to information collected by our reporter from Inner-Mongolia Geological Prospecting Bureau, the first division of the bureau has proved a large-scale niobate-tantalate mineral deposit in Zhaojinggou of Wuchuan County in Huhhot City with a reserve of over 2,000 tons of niobate and tantalite resources.

Niobium and tantalum are both rare metal elements with close chemical nature. They possess such advantages as high intensity, resistance to deformation, and anti-erosion. They are mainly applied in such fields as electronics, atomic energy, aeronautics and astronautics and aviation industries such as steel and iron and machinery.It is learned that the niobate-tantalate mine in Zhaojinggou has a controlled length of over 800 meters. After demonstration, it is concluded that there may be great space for exploration in the deeper layer of the mine. From the perspective of geological background and type of mineral deposit, it is possible for the mine to be large-scale or super-scale non-ferrous metal mineral deposits.
