Priority on Deep Processing of Non-ferrous Metals in Guizhou in the 12th Five Year Plan

It is known that,in the 12th five year plan,Guizhou will be built into a major base for deep processing of resources.Non-ferrous metals,one of the eight pillar industries in Guizhou,will focus on deep processing.

In the 12th five year plan,Guizhou will give top priority to eliminating backward capacity and technological transformation to promote industrial restructuring,upgrade and optimization,focusing on development of alumina with electrolytic aluminum as supporting development,and also taking great effort to develop aluminum processing; enhancing titanium production capacity and deep processing while securing titanium supply; making greater efforts in consolidating and optimizing manganese deep processing and developing gold and vanadium processing.

It is expected that by 2015,the total output value will surpass RMB100 billion with the total investment of RMB 100 billion.The annual output of alumina will reach 4.6 million tons,electrolytic aluminum,2.6 million tons;aluminum products,1.5 million tons; titanium sponge,30,000 tons and titanium deep processing products,over 10,000 tons.Gold production capacity will reach 16 tons per year.Gold reserves will increase by 80-100 tons and EMM,500,000 tons.

Establishment of the aluminum deep processing base in Guiyang and Al-Ti deep processing base in Zunyi will be given top priority.Great efforts will be made to promote Guiyang-Anshun-Zunyi aerospace aluminum and titanium strip processing project.Aluminum deep processing projects will be implemented such as industrialization of high-performance aluminum alloy of Guizhou Aluminum Plant,car alloy wheels industrialization of Guizhou Jinfei Wheel Co.,Ltd.,whose annual capacity will reach 6 million,200,000 tons / year aluminum foil of Aluminum Corporation of China,100,000 tons/year aluminum material processing of Guangdong Fenglu Aluminum Corporation,LED aluminum support frame of Jiangsu Dajin Group,800,000 units/ year engine parts of Nantong Huaheng Machinery Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.and 100,000 tons/year aluminum foil processing of Shuangyuan Aluminum Corporation in Liupanshui,Guizhou province.High purity titanium and high titanium ferroalloy projects of Zunyi Titanium Co.,Ltd.will also be launched.

Manganese projects will be largely located in Tongren,some in the southeast of Guizhou and a few in Zunyi.The purpose is to promote rational allocation of production factors and to form a sound regional development landscape,to encourage energy saving and technological transformation of the Manganese industry,elimination of backward production capacity and extension of the industrial chain.

The province will speed up development of the gold industry.Further efforts will be made to explore gold in southwest of Guizhou.Breakthroughs in gold exploration are expected in southeast of Guizhou,Tongren,Anshun and Liupanshui.A gold base will be developed in southwest of Guizhou and scale production will be promoted in southeast and south of Guizhou.
