In order to actively expand the import of advanced technologies, key components, domestic resources in short supply, and energy-saving and environment-friendly products, and further bring out the positive role of import discount interest policy in promoting independent innovation and structure adjustment, the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Commerce jointly promulgated this year’s new edition of “Catalogue of Encouraged Imported Technology and Products” on May 18th, which will be implemented as of the date of its promulgation.

This Catalogue covers 421 items and varieties in four major categories, i.e. “Advanced technologies for introduction”, “Key equipment for import”, “Key industry for development” and “Resource-type products,raw material”. Wherein, copper concentrate(≥20%), lead concentrate (≥55%), zinc concentrate (≥40%) are listed as resource type products and raw materials whose import is encouraged. It has been learned that, after the promulgation of this catalogue, the “Catalogue of Encouraged Imported Technology and Products (2009 edition)” attached to the “Circular on Promulgating the ‘Catalogue of Encouraged Imported Technology and Products’(2009 edition)” which was jointly promulgated by the three ministries previously was abolished at the same time. The NDRC, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Commerce will adjust the Catalogue at appropriate time based on practical needs.
