Hebei Quyang Sculpture School, established in 1985, is the only vocational stone carving school inChina. While many graduates have gone on to have successful careers in the industry, for most youngpeople like Zhang Wusuo, becoming a master's apprentice is still the main entry route to the stone-carving career.
