Once upon a time， there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness， Sadness， Knowledge， Love， and so on. One day， it was announced to them that the island would sink， so all constructed boats and were ready to leave， except Love. He wanted to hold out until the last moment. When the island had almost sunk， Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said， “Richness， can you take me with you?”

Richness answered， “No， I can’t. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place for you.”

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. “Vanity， please help me!”

“I can’t help you， Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat，” Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by and Love asked， “Sadness， let me go with you.”

“Oh ... Love， I am so sad that I need to be by myself!”

Happiness passed by Love， too， but she was so happy that she didn’t even hear Love.

Suddenly， there was a voice， “Come， Love， I will take you.” It was an elder. So overjoyed， Love even forgot to ask the elder who she is.

At last， Love asked Knowledge， “Who Helped me?”

“It was Time，” Knowledge answered.

“Time?” asked Love. “Why did Time help me?”

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered， “Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is.”

從前，有個小島上住著各種各樣的情感：有幸福，悲傷，聰慧，愛情等等。有一天，他們被告知小島即將沉沒，大家紛紛建造小船準備離去，只有愛情沒有行動，他打算撐到最后一刻。當小島真的快沉沒時，愛情才開始求救。

財富駕著華麗的大船路過愛情身旁，他向財富乞求：“財富，能帶上我嗎？”

財富答道：“不可以，我的船里面載滿了金銀，沒地方載你?！?/p>

虛榮駕著漂亮的船兒經(jīng)過，愛情向他求救，“虛榮，請幫幫我吧?！?/p>

虛榮答道：“我?guī)筒涣四悖銣喩頋衤德档?，說不定會弄壞我的船。”

悲傷路過愛情身邊，于是愛情乞求道：“悲傷，帶我一起離開這里吧?！?/p>

“哦……愛情，我太傷感了，只想一個人呆著?！?/p>

快樂也路過這里，但是她太興奮了以至于她根本沒有聽到愛情的哀求聲。

這時，耳邊突然響起了聲音，“過來吧，愛情，我?guī)汶x開這里?！边@聲音是位長者的。由于愛情終于能離開這里而太高興，以至于他忘了問長者是誰。

最后，愛情向長者智慧問道：“那位幫我的人是誰？”

智慧答道：“是時間。”

“時間？”愛情問道， “它為什么要幫助我呢？”

智慧微哂，禪定道來：“因為只有時間才能真正懂得愛情有多重要?！?/p>
