《中學(xué)生英語》在注重培養(yǎng)和提高學(xué)生英語水平能力的同時(shí)，也密切關(guān)注著各種英語考試，特別是全國各地中考的動(dòng)態(tài)，每年分析中考考點(diǎn)的分布和落點(diǎn)狀況，從而在編輯工作中能準(zhǔn)確地為初中師生提供中考英語考試信息?？梢院敛豢鋸埖卣f，每年全國各地的中考考點(diǎn)盡在《中學(xué)生英語》掌握之中。

2012年中考剛剛落下帷幕，我們就收到全國各地讀者傳來的喜訊，反映他們的中考試卷采用了本刊物上的原文，有的稍作刪減，有的原封不動(dòng)，學(xué)生做起題來得心應(yīng)手。我們搜集了全國各地部分城市的英語試卷，行了細(xì)致的統(tǒng)計(jì)分析。結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)，與往年一樣，今年的中考英語試卷無論是選擇題、語篇還是書面表達(dá)選題與《中學(xué)生英語》上的文章在體裁和題材上都有眾多吻合之處，共有多篇文章采用本刊原文，還有大量語篇與本刊文章題材重合。

本文將就2012年湖北省武漢市中考與《中學(xué)生英語》進(jìn)行對比分析，不難看出本刊幾乎全部切中武漢市中考考點(diǎn)，很多題目甚至可在本刊及《步步為營 決勝中考》一書中直接找到答案，有些題目設(shè)計(jì)幾乎完全一樣。
