Take Me Back to Prison!
把我送回監(jiān)獄吧浴
Once there was a king. He liked to write stories. He thought his stories were good, so he liked to show them to people. As people were afraid to criticize (批評(píng)) the king’s stories, they all said that his stories were very good.
One day, the king showed some of his best stories to a famous writer. He wanted the writer to say some good words of these stories. But the writer said his stories were so bad that he should throw them into the fire. The king got very angry with him and sent him to prison (監(jiān)獄).
After some time, the king felt sorry for the writer and set him free. When the writer returned from prison, the king ordered him to come to his palace. Again he showed him some of his new stories and asked what he thought of them. After reading them, the writer at once turned to the soldier and said, “Take me back to prison, please.”

A man walked out of the bank when he saw a woman carrying a large box in the street. It was half in and half out of her car. So the man went up and said, “The box looks
very heavy. Let me give you a hand.”
“That’s very kind of you,” the woman said, “I’m having a lot of trouble with it. Maybe it sticks (卡住) in the car door.”
“Together we’ll soon move it,” the man said. “I’ll get in and take the other end.” And he got into the car.
“Right,” the man said. “I’m ready,” and he began to push the box hard. For several minutes, the man and the woman tried to move the box. Soon they felt very tired.
They rested for a moment. Then the woman said, “Let’s try again. One, two, three!” They went on moving the box.
At last, when they were exhausted (筋疲力盡的), the man said, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think there’s any way to get it out of your car.”
“Get it out?” the woman cried. “I’m trying to get it in!You know?”

One afternoon, Mrs. Green’s husband wanted to catch the 3:30 flight to London to have an important meeting. She was very surprised when he telephoned her at 5 o’clock and said that he was still at the airport.
“What happened to you?” asked Mrs. Green.
“Well,” said Mr. Green, “Everything was going fine. I got my ticket, checked my luggage and waited in line at the gate. I walked across the runway to the airplane and I saw my friend Jack Scott who was an airplane engineer. I shouted to him and a policeman caught me.”
“Why did he catch you?”
“I don’t know,” said Mr. Green, “As soon as he heard my shout, he ran towards me and caught me.”
“What did you shout to your friend?”
“All I said was ‘Hi, Jack’ . You know that’s the usual way we say hello to our friends.”
“But don’t you know the sentence ‘Hi, Jack’ also means to take control of a plane by force (武力)?”
