Dear Mom and Dad，

I died today. You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were over crowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a plastic bag in a land fill now. Some other puppy will get the barley used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small， but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t chewed your shoe? I didn’t know what it was， but it was leather， and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get me puppy toys.

Would I still be at home if I had been house broken? Rubbing my nose in what I did made me ashamed I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine， I couldn’t get the moffme after you left me in the yard for days and days.

Would I still be at home if I hadn’t barked and barked? I was only saying “I’m scared， I’m lonely， I’m here， I’m here!I want to be your best friend.”

Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn’t help.

Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care of me and to teach me manners?

You didn’t pay attention to me after the first week or so， but I spent all my time waiting for you to love me.

I died today.

親愛(ài)的爸媽：

今天我走了。你對(duì)我感到厭倦了，所以你把我送去了收容所。收容所的動(dòng)物已經(jīng)太多了，而我抽到了不幸的號(hào)碼。現(xiàn)在被裝進(jìn)黑色塑膠袋的我靜靜躺在掩埋場(chǎng)里。你留下來(lái)幾乎全新的牽繩會(huì)給其他小狗狗用。我的項(xiàng)圈又臟又太小，不過(guò)阿姨在送我上天堂之前幫我把它拿下來(lái)了。

如果我沒(méi)有咬壞你的鞋，你會(huì)不會(huì)讓我留下來(lái)？我不知道那是什么，只知道那是皮的，而且你把它丟在地上。你忘了幫我買(mǎi)狗狗玩具了。

如果我沒(méi)有在家里大小便，你會(huì)不會(huì)讓我留下來(lái)？你把我的鼻子壓在便便上只會(huì)讓我對(duì)需要上廁所感到羞愧。書(shū)跟訓(xùn)練老師都可以告訴你如何教會(huì)我走到廁所門(mén)口要你開(kāi)門(mén)。

如果我沒(méi)有把跳蚤帶到家里來(lái)，你會(huì)不會(huì)讓我留下來(lái)？我身上沒(méi)有驅(qū)蟲(chóng)藥，我沒(méi)有辦法在你把我留在院子里好幾天后自己把身上的跳蚤抓下來(lái)。

如果我沒(méi)有亂叫，你會(huì)不會(huì)讓我留下來(lái)？我只是想告訴你：“我害怕，我孤單，我在這里??！我想成為你最好的朋友！”

如果我讓你開(kāi)心，你會(huì)不會(huì)讓我留下來(lái)？但是打我并不會(huì)讓我知道怎么讓你開(kāi)心。

如果你愿意花時(shí)間照顧我，教我如何當(dāng)一只好狗狗，我是不是就可以留下來(lái)了？

差不多第一星期之后你就沒(méi)有再注意過(guò)我了，但是我一直都在等著你愛(ài)護(hù)我
