Novel Methanol Synthesis Catalyst Passed Commercial Side-line Acceptance Test

Recently, the novel low-temperature and high-performance catalyst for methanol synthesis jointly developed by the Datang Chemical Research Institute and the Xiamen University has passed the commercial sideline acceptance test. The expert group has unanimously admitted that this methanol synthesis catalyst has superior performance in terms of its low-temperature activity, thermal stability, selectivity and resistance against process condition fluctuations, with its overall performance in the commercial sideline operation meeting the expected results. A part of the catalyst performance indicators has surpassed those of similar domestic catalysts to be on parity with the internationally advanced level. The experts have proposed to commence trial manufacture and application of this catalyst.

The Datang Chemical Research Institute has been engaging in solving this problem collaboratively with the Xiamen University and the Nanjing Guochang Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., followed by implementing this commercial sideline acceptance test of methanol synthesis catalyst on the site of the Shandong Yuankuang Guohong Chemical Limited Liability Company.
