SINCE its establishment in 2002, the influenceof the African Union (AU) has grown. It is now leadingthe integration and joint development of Africancountries. In the meantime, the China-AU relationshipis continuing to develop from its basis of a tradition ofcooperation and friendship between China and theOrganization of African Unity (OAU), the predecessorof the AU.
