On July 25, the Aluminum Corporation of China Limited and Galuminium Group Co., Ltd signed strategic cooperation agreement in Guiyang Aluminum Hotel. LuoJianchuan, President of the Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, introduced CHALCO’s operation, as well as its Guizhou Branch’s aluminum oxide and electrolytic aluminum business operation,mine production, and construction of Maochang Mine. LuoJianchuan said that viewed from longer perspective, the enterprises and the industry have bright future, hoping that at the current state of market downturn, the two enterprise could join hands and support each other to fend off recession by leveraging respective advantages to uniformly plan and develop mineral resources in Qingzhen, meanwhile strengthen cooperation in aluminum processing, aluminum oxide, and electrolytic aluminum to activate enterprise vitality.

Ye Pengzhi, Chairman and President of Galuminium Group Co., Ltd, introduced the production and business operation of Galuminium Group Co., Ltd. He said the two companies had foundation for cooperation, especially in Qingzhen, where the total combined ore reserve of the two companies reached over 300 million tonnes, which is rare even in the national context. He believed that the current difficult situation was temporary; the development prospects of the two companies after the union would be very bright. Both sides also discussed exact details and issues of common interest. After indepth communication and consultation, both sides had reached preliminary consensus. In the end, both sides signed framework agreement for strategic cooperation.
