A Muslim family in Hami， northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region， gather together to celebrate Corban Festival on October 15.

As one of three major Islamic celebrations， Corban is also known as Eid alAdha， or day of sacrifice， during which lambs are slaughtered as part of religious rituals.
