Dr. Chaojie Liu, MB, MPH, PhD, is currently directing the China Health Program at La Trobe University.He has also been appointed as Chutian Scholar (professor) of Hubei University of Chinese Medicine,Lecturing Professor in Sichuan University and Visiting Professor of Harbin Medical University. Dr.Liu is a member of the advisory committee for patient safety in primary care for the World Health Organization, and a board director of the Chinese Health Foundation of Australia. Dr. Liu is specialized in the areas of primary health care system development, safety and quality of health care, health information systems, and social support and equality in health services and health outcomes. He has participated in more than 30 research projects and provided numerous consultancy services to health development projects in China funded by international agencies, such as the World Health Organization, the Australian Agency for International Development, the UK Department for International Development,and the Chinese Government. Dr. Liu has published more than 200 academic articles and authored over 10 books.
Mr. Demos Krouskos, AFACHSM, BA (Hons), Grad. Dip. The Applied Information Systems CEO of North Richmond Community Health, and Director of the Centre for Culture Ethnicity and Health. Mr.Krouskos has held a number of positions in the health care sector including Executive Officer with the health consumer organization Preston/Northcote District Health Council, the Chief Executive Officer of North Richmond Community Health Centre and the Director of the Centre for Culture Ethnicity and Health (CEH). Mr. Krouskos's professional interests include health and cultural diversity, health issues affecting refugees and migrants, health equity and human rights, health of Aboriginal Australians,health literacy, patient centered care and improving the consumer experience of healthcare.
Mr. Michael Geary, BA, BSW, is the Executive Manager Quality and Community Programs at Banyule Community Health, a primary health and welfare service in Melbourne's northeast. Mr. Geary has over 20 years experiences in the health and welfare sector in service delivery and senior management roles.
