Analysis and Comprehensive Treatment Construction Technology for High and Steep Environmental Slope of Flood Discharge System at Changheba Hydropower Station

Abstract: At Roseires Dam Heightening Project, KENANA headworks stilling basin bottom is close to surrounding structures , therefore , not only blasting results ,but also safety of surrounding structures during blasting and excavation should be considered . Case study is presented for blasting and excavation of KENANA headworks stilling basin bottom at Roseires Dam Heightening Project . Blasting safety control technology for nearby structures is summarized to provide references to the similar projects.

Abstract: Currently , environmental slope construction is gradually applied in water resources and hydropower projects , railway projects and highway projects . However , environmental slope treatment issue is addressed not long age in China , specific treatment measures and management depth are not presented and construction specifications and acceptance criteria are not clear . Environmental slope treatment directly influences global slope stability and safety for lower slope excavation and structures. According to case study of typical high and steep environmental slope construction of flood discharge and reservoir emptying systems at Changheba hydropower station, environmental slope treatment construction are studied . Finally, a series of practical environmental slope treatment construction technology are presented , which ensure global slope stability and ensure safety for environmental slope treatment construction , lower slope excavation and structures . Good social and economic benefits are achieved.

Study on Excavation Methods for Slopes in High Altitude Area in Winter

Abstract: High altitude area is influenced by climate freezing and thawing , therefore , slope excavation is often difficult with high risks , low efficiency and easy to collapse. In this paper, excavation construction methods are studied for right bank slope at Guoduo hydropower station. Various scientific and effective preventive measures are taken to solve difficult problems of slope excavation under complex geological conditions in high altitude area in winter months, providing experiences and references to the similar projects.

Rapid Concrete Construction in GIS Chamber at Guoduo Hydropower Station

Abstract: To meet requirements of power generation target of Guoduo hydropower station project , structural concrete placing , such as frame columns , coupling beams , brackets , crane beams , roof plates , plate beams and right end walls , is controlled during GIS chamber concrete construction. Rapid and continuous concrete placement in large placing sections are realized to ensure various concrete performances to meet design requirements . This provides references to the similar projects.
