Chifeng City Signed Agreement with Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd

On May 6, Chifeng City and Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd signed agreem ent over the copper smelting process upgrading project of Chifeng Jinjian Copper Company. Yang Jun, Chairman of Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd, Bi Lifu, official of Chifeng City, attended the the agreement-signing ceremony.

Before the agreement-signing ceremony, officials of Chif eng City held talks with executives of Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holding Co., Ltd. At the discussion meeting, Bi Lifu expressed warm welcome to the delegation led by Y ang Jun, he pointed out that intensified efforts by Tongling Nonferrous Metals to increase in vestment in Chifeng signals acknowledgement and trust of Chifeng’s development in all aspects, and also inheritance and continuation of long-term excellent cooperation foundation between both sides. Jinjian Copper’s process upgrading project holds crucial importance for transition and upgrading of Chifeng’s industrial structure, and fulfilling innovation development, it complies with the five m ajor developm ent concepts proposed by the central governm ent, along with the requirements to remove backward c apacity, an d f ulfilling sustain able development, it also coincides with the Autonomous Prefecture’s “8337” developm ent thinking approach, and will in ject new vitality into Chifeng’s nonferrous metals industry.

After the project is completed, it will completely change the excessively scattered layout of Chifeng’s copper sm elting industry, accomplish concentrated develop ment, create scale benefit and cluste r benefit, and provide conditions for extending industrial chain, cutting enterprise cost, and maximizing utilization o f resource s in the next step. It is hoped that both sides can regard this time’s cooperation as new starting point and new platform, relevant departments of Chifeng City will streng then service awareness, so as to enable the project to generate more economic benefits and social benefits, and usher in a winwin situation for both e nterprise and the loca l area.
