I love reading the column in your magazine about Bills adventures in China. Some of the stories the author narrates happened 20 years ago so its interesting to read about the differences between the past and present appearance of the cities he writes about. It must be a challenging job as the nation is developing at such a fast rate that its hard to keep up with the changes. But it is also rewarding since it helps a person rediscover this major developing country through its great changes in the past decades. Nowadays foreigners can access information about China online and more and more people are choosing to visit this fascinating oriental country. I have read lots of travel books written by Chinese who tend to present readers a panorama of cities, including their history, scenic spots, culture and food. For a Westerner the most attractive insights may come from following a local guide, wandering through pedestrian streets or tasting street food while listening to their personal tales of the city.

I dont know much about the Communist Party of China because I can neither read what is written in the media nor understand and learn from the people around me. But in the new issue of your magazines Special Report, you presented several members of the Chinese Communist Party who worked in different fi elds, all embodying a positive spirit or playing a leading role. I admire the performance of the Chinese government and thus take an interest in stories about various CPC members.

I was recommended your magazine three years ago and now I am a regular reader. Your articles teach me many things about China. In fact, I have been learning about your country through reading books to gain more knowledge of its politics, culture, economy, sports, and history. I am so happy to discover a magazine with a design and photographs that give me a pleasant reading experience. I hope one day I can visit China. Chinese cuisine is rich and varied depending on the region of the country from which it originates. I live in Madrid and when I get the chance I love eating at a Chinese restaurant not far from my house. It is fabulous to try out dishes there. But I heard that what Chinese restaurants offer abroad are not the same as authentic Chinese delicacies in the country itself. I would love to read more about the gastronomic delights of China in your magazine. Maybe I can try to make them myself at home or at least know more about what to order when I visit China.
