Hot pot is one of the most famous food in China.

火鍋是中國最著名的食物之一。

There are many stories about how hot pot appeared. The most popular and oldest one has to do with Genghis Khan.

有許多關(guān)于火鍋是怎么出現(xiàn)的故事。最出名的也是最古老的一個故事與成吉思汗有關(guān)。

Genghis Khan was the founder of the Mongol Empire. He was also one of the greatest military leaders. The place where he lived was very cold in winter. He needed food to keep his army warm， strong and healthy. When it was time to eat， they built pots out of rocks. After finishing building these things， they put ice and snow into the pot. When the ice and snow turned into water， and the temperature of the water is high， they put meat into it. After a short time， the meat was OK， and they began to eat.

成吉思汗是蒙古帝國的創(chuàng)始人。他也是一位偉大的軍事領(lǐng)袖。他住的地方在冬天很冷。他需要食物來保持他軍隊(duì)的溫暖、強(qiáng)壯和健康。到了吃飯的時候，他們用巖石做成鍋。準(zhǔn)備好這些東西后，他們把冰雪放進(jìn)鍋里。等到冰雪融化成水，等水變熱的時候，他們把肉放進(jìn)鍋里面。過一小會兒，肉熟了，他們便開始吃了起來。

Later， people brought hot pot to other parts of China and improved it. People began to put more kinds of ingredients1 into the hot pot， such as vegetables and seafood. By the Qing Dynasty， hot pot became popular in most parts of China.

后來，人們把火鍋的做法帶到了中國的其他地區(qū)，并且改進(jìn)了它的做法。人們開始把更多種類的食材放進(jìn)熱鍋里，比如蔬菜和海鮮。到清朝的時候，火鍋在中國的大部分地區(qū)流行開來。

Today， we can find different kinds of hot pot in Beijing， Chongqing， Sichuan and even in some foreign countries. When we enjoy the

delicious hot pot， we also feel the special food culture of China.

今天，我們可以在北京、重慶、四川，甚至在一些外國國家，找到不同種類的火鍋。當(dāng)我們享受美味的火鍋的時候，我們也可以感受到中國的特殊的飲食文化！
