.On Christmas Day, Paul's elder brother gave him a new car as the present. One day before Christmas Day, Paul walked out of his office and saw a boy walking around his new car, touching it with admiration.
2. Paul looked at the boy with interest. From his clothes, his family didn't belong to the class. Just then, the boy looked up and asked, “Is the car yours, sir?”
.“Yes,” answered Paul, “It's the Christmas present from my brother.” The boy opened his eyes wide, “You mean you received it from your brother?”
.Paul nodded. The boy said, “Oh. I wish ...” Paul thought he knew the boy's wish -- to have a car like that. However, the boy said, “I wish I were such a brother.”
.Looking at the boy, Paul was deeply moved. He asked, “Do you want to have a ride in my new car?” The boy agreed with a great pleasant surprise.
.After a while, the boy turned to Paul, “Sir,would you mind driving the car to my house?” Paul smiled. He thought he knew the boy's thought -- going home in a big and beautiful car to show off before his friends. But he was wrong.
.“Would you mind stopping at the steps and waiting for me?” The boy got out of the car and ran into a room. After a while, he walked out with a boy, who was his younger brother. The boy was lame in one foot because of poliomyelitis.
.He put his brother on the step and sat next to him. Then he pointed at Paul's car, “Can you see? It is beautiful, isn't it? That is his Christmas present his brother gave him. One day I will give you a car the same as that.
.Paul's tears came down. He got out of the car and put the boy on the front seat. His brother slowly climbed in. The three of them started an unforgettable holiday trip. Paul understood: To give is happier than to receive.
