1.Once upon a time,an old farmerplanted a field of rice.Everyday he went to the field to watch the seedlings grow.But he thought they were growing too slowly.“How could the plants grow faster?” Sud?denly he got an idea.To help them grow faster,he pulled up all the seedlings.

從前，有一個農(nóng)夫種了一片禾苗地。他總是嫌田里的莊稼長得慢，今天去瞧瞧，明天去看看，覺得禾苗總沒有長高。他心想：有什么辦法能使它們長得快些呢？突然他想到了一個主意。他把禾苗一棵一棵地往上拔，能快速讓它們長高。

2.After work,the old farmer went back home hap?pily.“ I am exhausted（ 精疲力竭）today.I tried my best to help the crops grow taller!”he said to his fami?ly.

他拔完一整片禾苗，高興地回了家?；氐郊依镞€夸口說：“今天可把我累壞了，我?guī)椭堂玳L高了好多！”

3.His son was shocked and rushed to the field.

他的兒子一驚，趕忙跑到田里去看。

4.All the crops were dead.

發(fā)現(xiàn)田里的禾苗全部已經(jīng)枯死了。
