From March 30 to April 1， 2018， China-ASEAN Expo Cambodia Exhibition 2018 （hereinafter referred to as “CAEXPO Cambodia Exhibition”） was successfully held in Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center （DICEC）， Phnom Penh， Cambodia. As one of the warm-up activities of the Country of Honor for the 15th CAEXPO， it was the first exhibition organized by the CAEXPO Secretariat in Cambodia. With a total exhibition area of 8，000 square meters and 440 booths， it was also the largest exhibition that the CAEXPO Secretariat ever organized in ASEAN countries.

Chinese agricultural machinery popular in Cambodi

The exhibition featured a wide range of products， technologies and services， including machinery and equipment， electronic products， building materials， agriculture， light industry， and energy conservation and environmental protection. With distinctive features and various economic and trade activities， the exhibition also presented Chinese competitive products that could satisfy the desperate needs of Cambodia.

Guangxi Rural Investment Group Co.， Ltd.， together with Guangxi Sugarcane Production Service Co.， Ltd.， Guilin AiMing Ecological Agriculture Development Co.， Ltd.， and Guangxi Longzhou Beibu Gulf Modern Agriculture Co.， Ltd.， attended the CAEXPO Cambodia Exhibition. At the exhibition， it brought its agricultural cooperation plans under the Belt and Road， including the production and spread of sugarcane superior seed， sugarcane production mechanization service， the export and sales of distinctive edible fungi products， agricultural products and leisure food， and the construction of bases for agricultural fine and deep processing and production.

Besides， the agricultural machinery and tools of Guangxi Zhengyuan Machinery Co.， Ltd.， an enterprise under Guangxi Hydraulic Power Machinery Research Institute， were well-received at the exhibition， attracting many Cambodian reporters and merchants for interview and investigation. At the same time， a large-scale purchase agreement of its rotary ridging machines was signed on the spot， which became a highlight of the exhibition.

Fruitful harvests of Chinese exhibitors

China-ASEAN Expo Cambodia Exhibition 2018 attracted enterprises from Guangxi and other 20 provinces including Shanxi， Fujian， Zhejiang， Hunan and Guangdong， as well as enterprises directly under the central government.

This year， altogether 26 enterprises in equipment manufacturing， environmental protection， food， and arts and crafts from Shanxi Province attended the exhibition. As the Belt and Road Initiative progresses， Shanxi enterprises will target at ASEAN countries and the markets along the Belt and Road through the exhibition， tapping new business opportunities of the Silk Road Economic Belt and planning industrial distribution outside China. In this way， they can promote the export of their brands and technologies along the Belt and Road and make greater strides in opening up.

“We have benefited a lot from CAEXPO Cambodia Exhibition， from which we can get insight into the competition of paint market in Cambodia. And we are expected to enter Cambodian market in the near future，” said Liu Yinghao， an exhibitor of Hunan Xiangjiang Paint Group.

Targeted business matching under new model

The Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia， co-organizer of China-ASEAN Expo， also attached great importance to China-ASEAN Expo Cambodia Exhibition 2018. In collaboration with China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat， the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia invited a number of Cambodian enterprises that were complementary to Chinese ones. It also deepened the model of attracting exhibitors： First， to send direct invitation to targeted enterprises， with a view to increasing the accuracy of business matching； second， by collaborating with Khmer-Chinese Association in Cambodia， Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia， Guangxi Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and other organizations， to expand the scope for inviting exhibitors； third， to invite more professional buyers through multiple market channels， and make on-site business matching more successful through pre-pairing.

Xiong Bo， Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Cambodia， said that by cooperating with Cambodia in the power， agriculture， tourism， infrastructure， and development of special economic zone， China has made significant contribution to Cambodias economic and social development and peoples wellbeing.
