Phase I Production Line of Sanming Xiamen Tungsten New Energy Put Into Production
After 1-year construction, Phase I production line (6000t) of 10,000 t/a anode material for lithium ion battery project of Sanming Xiamen Tungsten New Energy, a major project at both provincial and municipal level, was officially put into production on August 16, 2018.
In recent years, new energy material industry has been booming, with increasing market demand for lithium battery materials. Sanming Xiamen Tungsten New Energy Co., Ltd., located in Jikou Industry Park in Sanming Economic Development Zone, actively responds to the demand, and has decided to invest another RMB 340 million in construction of production line of 10,000 t/a anode material for lithium ion battery based on the existing capacity of 7,000 t/a.
According to report, after the Phase I production line of 10,000 t/a anode material for lithium ion battery project is put into production, the Company’s capacity this year is expected to reach 9,000 tons, with output value of over RMB 3 billion. The Company is now accelerating the construction of Phase II project (with capacity of 4,000 t/a), which is expected to be put into production by the first half of 2019. “The successful implementation of production line of 10,000 t/a anode material for lithium ion battery project has laid a solid foundation for building the Company into a famous lithium-ion battery material manufacturer ranking No.1 in China and No.3 in the world.” said Zhao Laian, GM Assistant of Sanming Xiamen Tungsten New Energy Co., Ltd.
Formerly known as Sanming Jinming New Materials Co., Ltd., Sanming Xiamen Tungsten New Energy Co., Ltd. was co-founded by Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd. and Sanming City National Capital Investment and Management Co., Ltd. in 2012. The Company is engaged in a number of production projects involving ternary anode materials, rare earth smelting and separation, magnetic materials and samarium-cobalt permanent magnets, striving to build a complete industry system covering rare earth smelting and separation, processing and application as well as product production and R&D. “The Company strives to realize an output value of RMB 10 billion by 2023, consisting of RMB 9.5 billion battery anode material and RMB 500 million rare earth smelting and separation.” Zhao Laian added.
