聽一聽馬云講他自己的故事。
Idid not have a rich father.
Tried 3 times for university.All failed.
I applied for Harvard for 10 times.All failed,they don’t even want to see me.
For the last time,I went to the teachers’college which was considered the third or fourth class of my city.
I applied jobs for 30 times.Got rejected.
It was so difficult at that time,and I was so frustrated.
Because I taught in the university.My pay was 10 US dollars a month.
Because I could not find a good job in 1994.
Discussed that I am going to do something called Internet and 23 of them against it,they said it’s a stupid idea.
“We have never heard about Internet and you know nothing about the computer.”
I never thought I was smart,and nobody believed that I could be successful.
Because everybody said,“Well,this guy thinks differently,think crazily,you know,think about something that will never work.”
I tried to borrow 3,000 US dollars from the banks,took me 3 months,but I still cannot get it.
We talked to over 30 or 40 venture capitalists,everybody said,“No.Forget it.”
A lot of people said Alibaba is a terrible model as I said,“I believe it.I think this thing could be big.I never thought it will be that big like today.”
I believe that something,something is waiting for me there,and I have to work hard to prove myself.
That was the tough experience.
So we gathered 50,000 US dollars from 18 founders.
We started.
For the first three years,we did not have even 1 dollar revenue from our business.
It was not easy.
Why it keeps on going ahead,going forward?
Because I received lots of email of thanks from the customer,they say this is such a great thing,and we cannot pay you but this thing helped us.If you keep on helping us,one day,you will be successful.And I believe this.
Little by little,we built up our business.Little by little,we’re good on our ecosystem of the infrastructure.And now,after 16 years,we have a Alibaba group,We have a T-mall group.We have a Taobao group.We have Alipay.
And people said,“You are so smart,how could you make a company like that?”
Bill Gates,Warren Buffet,the Jack Welch,Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg,the difference between those people and other people is that they are always optimistic for the future.
They never complain.
They always try to solve the problems of the others.
When you are optimistic,it’s always a opportunity.
People same here today.
“Jack.Where’s the opportunity.I don’t have a job.I don’t have this.I don’t have that.”
We are at the best of time of this century.The best asset you have is that you are young.Don’t complain.Let the other people complain.The opportunity lies,always lies where people complain.
Think about how you can make things different.
我沒有一個有錢的父親。
嘗試三次考大學(xué)都失敗了。
我十次申請哈佛大學(xué),都失敗了,他們甚至不想見到我。
最后一次,我去了師范大學(xué),它排在我那個城市的第三或者第四。
我應(yīng)聘工作,被拒絕了30次。
那個時候真是太難了,我好沮喪。
因為我在大學(xué)教書,我每個月的薪水是10美元。
因為在1994年時我找不到好工作。
和別人討論說我想做一個叫互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的東西時,其中23人都反對,他們說這是愚蠢的想法。
“我們從來沒聽過什么是網(wǎng)絡(luò),而且你對電腦一竅不通?!?/p>
我從來不認為自己聰明,沒有人相信我能成功。
因為大家都說:“這個人想得跟別人都不一樣,有瘋狂的想法,想一些永遠行不通的事?!?/p>
我試著向銀行借3,000美金,這花了我三個月的時間,但還是無法借到。
我們和 30到40位的創(chuàng)業(yè)投資家溝通,每個人都說:“不可能的,這事兒不成?!?/p>
很多人說阿里巴巴是一個很糟的項目,而我說:“我相信它,我相信它能變得強大,不過我從來沒想過它能有像今天一樣那么大的規(guī)模?!?/p>
我相信會有個什么東西在那里等著我。而我要做的就是努力去證明我自己。
那是很艱難的經(jīng)歷。
我們從18位創(chuàng)始人那募集了50,000美金。
然后開始創(chuàng)業(yè)了。
一開始的三年,我們沒有賺到任何一毛錢的收入。
這并非簡單的事。
但為什么我們還是持續(xù)前進?
因為我收到許多客人寄來表達感謝的電子郵件,他們說這是很棒的東西我們沒辦法付錢給你,但這個東西幫了我們很多忙。如果你持續(xù)幫助我們,總有一天,你會成功的。而我相信了這句話。
“Is it anything that I can do to make the difference?”
And then we think about this,start to do it.I saw a lot of people,young people have fantastic ideas every evening.But in the morning,they go to the office again.
Being entrepreneur,you have to do the things before the other people do.
You have to wake up before other people wake up.You have to be more buried than the others.
Use instinct.Everything you do is to the need of the customer,to everybody,to any person.
Tomorrow is new.Make the move.Make action.
Whether investors believe this or not,whether your friends believe it or not,whether your parents believe it or not,that’s not important.You believe it,your team believe it and worked day and night on this.
That’s all the things happen.Make enough mistakes.You fall,you stand up.Any mistake is an income,is a wonderful revenue.Don’t worry about the money.Money follow the people.People should follow the dreams.If you have a dream,just to go ahead.
I think nobody can conquer the world.We only can serve the world,either work for the others or work for itself.And I choose the way work for myself.Working for myself that means working for the society.If you really want to work for yourself,think about the others,because only when the other people are successful,when the other people are happy,you will be successful,you will be happy.
一點一滴地,我們創(chuàng)立了企業(yè),一點一滴地,我們在基礎(chǔ)建設(shè)的生態(tài)系統(tǒng)上發(fā)展得很好,而16年后的現(xiàn)在,我們有了阿里巴巴集團,我們有了天貓,有了淘寶,有了支付寶。
人們說:“你真聰明,你是怎么建立這樣的公司的?”
比爾·蓋茨、沃倫·巴菲特、杰克·威爾許、拉里·佩奇和馬克·扎克伯格,這些成功的人們和其他人們的差異就在他們永遠都對未來保持樂觀。
他們從來不抱怨。
他們總是試著去解決其他人的問題。
當(dāng)你樂觀時,就總有機會的。
今天在這的人們也是一樣地會問:
“馬云,機會在哪里?我沒有工作,我沒有這個,我沒有那個?!?/p>
我們身在這個世紀最好的時代里,年輕就是你所擁有的最棒的資產(chǎn),不要抱怨,讓其他人去抱怨,機會都在人們的抱怨里。
去想想你能怎么讓事情變得不同。
“有什么是我可以做到去改變的事情?”
我們思考著,然后開始去做。我看見很多年輕人晚上都有很棒的想法。但一到了早上,他們又得去上班了。
要當(dāng)一個企業(yè)家,要做的就是在其他人行動之前就開始行動。
你必須比其他人起得早。你必須比其他人埋頭苦干。
用你的直覺,你所做的所有事情都要去滿足客戶、所有人和任何人的需求。
明天是全新的一天,邁開步伐,開始行動吧。
不論投資者們相不相信,不論你的朋友們相不相信,不論你的家人們相不相信,這都不重要。重要的是,你相信,你的團隊相信,而你們沒日沒夜地努力都是為了這個。
創(chuàng)業(yè)就是這么來的,犯了夠多的錯誤,你跌倒了,然后爬起來,任何錯誤都是一種進賬,是很棒的收入。別擔(dān)心金錢的問題,有人的地方就會有錢,人們應(yīng)該追尋夢想,如果你有夢想,就往前追吧。
我認為沒有人能征服世界,我們只能服務(wù)這個世界,不管是為他人工作還是為自己工作,而我選擇為自己工作,為自己工作代表為整個社會工作。如果你真的想為自己工作,要為其他人著想,因為只有當(dāng)其他人也成功,當(dāng)其他人也開心時,你才會成功,你才會開心。
