[Abstract] Objective To observe the clinical significance of biochemical tests in the diagnosis of diabetes, in order to guide the next step in clinical treatment. Methods A total of 93 patients with diabetes mellitus admitted to our hospital from August 2017 to August 2018 were randomly selected as the observation group, and the 93 healthy physical examination patients were selected as the control group. Both groups were given routine and biochemical tests. Compared the two sets of test results. Results Fasting blood glucose, post-2 h blood glucose, triglyceride, total cholesterol and glucose tolerance in the observation group were (10.26±0.89) mmol/L, (12.62±0.93) mmol/L, (3.11±0.20) mmol/L, (8.81±0.74)mmol/L, (14.06±1.10) mmol/L; and in the control group, the data were (6.05±0.47) mmol/L, (5.84±0.50) mmol/L, (1.44±0.05) mmol/L, (4.85± 0.33) mmol/L, (8.97±0.65) mmol/L. The difference between the two groups was significant (t=6.552, 8.749, 6.115, 7.426, 7.051; P<0.05); In the observation group, the biochemical test group detected 88 cases. The diagnostic accuracy rate was 94.6%. And 70 cases were detected in the routine test group, and the diagnostic accuracy was 75.3%. The diagnostic accuracy of the two groups was significantly different (χ2=13.694, P<0.05). Conclusion Biochemical tests can effectively diagnose diabetes, and it has the advantages of high accuracy, short operation time and low cost. It can provide good information support for clinicians' next treatment. Therefore, it can be used as a first-line solution for diagnosing diabetes, but it should be judged by comprehensive results such as routine tests and clinical manifestations.
