Recently， the Expert Demonstration Conference on the “Zhangjiagang Textile Industry Index Program” （hereinafter referred to as the “Program”） was held in Beijing. The Program is compiled under the guidance of China National Textile and Apparel Council. The Department of Information Technology of China National Textile and Apparel Council， China Textile Network Information Technology Co.， Ltd.， Zhangjiagang Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Zhangjiagang Textile Association jointly compile the Program.

At the conference， the members of the expert group carefully reviewed the compilation materials and listened to the introduction of the Program， and fully affirmed the compilation Program of the textile industry development index of Zhangjiagang. The expert group pointed out that the Program was the first time to build an index system to measure the quality and ability of textile industry development under the background of the transformation of Chinas economy to high-quality development and the new orientation of “science and technology， fashion and green” in Chinas textile industry. This Program provides effec- tive information support for the management decision of textile enterprises， and plays an active supporting role for the relevant government departments to do a good job in market regulation. This is also the first time to introduce the concept of classification of upstream and downstream in the product system. The product category constitutes a coherent relationship between upstream and downstream. It can better predict the supply and demand changes of products， and can well meet the needs of enterprises for price changes. The method of index preparation and index setting are rigorous， reasonable and innovative.

Xia Lingmin， Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council， said that the Program was based on the development of textile industry and the actual situation of Zhangjiagang textile industry， and established a comprehensive index and data platform reflecting price， prosperity and industrial development， which fully reflected the textile industry dynamics and the price and prosperity of textile raw materials in Zhangjiagang area. The trend of industrial change is conducive to industry organizations and government departments to timely discover the development trend of the industry， and take effective measures to promote the textile and garment industry to improve quality and efficiency. Mr. Xia Lingmin pointed out that this demonstration conference is only the beginning of the work. In the follow-up work， it should be further improved and revised to better meet the needs of enterprises， industries and the government. He hoped that the “Zhangjiagang Textile Industry Index” would serve as the basic data for the Internet intellectualization of the textile industry and promote the industrialization of the data center. It can play a greater role in promoting the digitalization of industry.
