Shen Hongjie was born in 1971 in Shaodong， Hunan Province. He served as national first level artist， member of the China Folk Literature and Art Association， researcher in the China Arts and Crafts Industrial Institution， member of Gansu Artists Association， member of Gansu Folk Art Artists Association， and an outstanding figure for China Calligraphy and Painting intangible cultural heritage. He had devoted himself to the carving and woodcut painting for decades. His Dunhuang artwork studio was the first one in China about woodcut painting. He was the leading figure of Dunhuang woodcut painting， and had drew board attentions with his unique style.

Since 30 years ago when he first stuck by the beauty of Mogao Grottoes， he decided to move to Dunhuang and devote his life to depicting the murals. In the following 15 years， he created splendid woodcut works depicting the Flying Apsaras and Buddhism stories. With his hard work， the Dunhuang woodcut works were more and more popular among the tourists. Shen Hongjie was also trying other art forms to promote the Dunhuang culture better.

申洪杰，1971年生于湖南省邵東縣?，F(xiàn)為國家一級美術(shù)師，中國民間文藝家協(xié)會會員，中國工藝美術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)研究院研究員，甘肅省美術(shù)家協(xié)會會員，甘肅省民間文藝家協(xié)會會員，中國書畫非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)功勛人物。專業(yè)從事雕刻及木刻畫創(chuàng)作十余年，自2004年至今，在敦煌開設(shè)藝術(shù)工作室，開木雕畫之首創(chuàng)，是敦煌木雕畫的領(lǐng)軍人。其作品形式及風(fēng)格獨(dú)樹一幟，廣受社會各界關(guān)注與收藏。

2004年，30多歲的申洪杰從湖南老家第一次到敦煌旅游，就被莫高窟精美絕倫的壁畫震撼，當(dāng)?shù)氐拇竽L(fēng)情、邊塞文化讓他流連忘返。深思熟慮后，喜歡木板雕刻的申洪杰決定移居敦煌，用刻刀把敦煌藝術(shù)展現(xiàn)在木板上，他這一干就是15年。在申洪杰的刻刀下，飛天、佛教故事等敦煌藝術(shù)惟妙惟肖地展現(xiàn)在一塊塊大小不一的木板上。十多年間，申洪杰先后帶過幾十名徒弟，有些徒弟學(xué)成出師，也開了工作室雕刻敦煌木刻畫。在申洪杰的帶動下，敦煌木刻畫越來越受到游客的青睞?！坝每痰栋讯鼗退囆g(shù)雕刻在木板上，我想這是弘揚(yáng)敦煌文化的一種方式”，申洪杰說，“我已經(jīng)開始嘗試紙上烙畫、石刻畫等新的表現(xiàn)形式，希望能夠通過創(chuàng)新更好地傳承和弘揚(yáng)敦煌文化?！?img src="https://cimg.fx361.com/images/2019/11/05/qkimageszshbzshb201909zshb20190912-6-l.jpg"/>
