(BUT YOU PROBABLY WONT LIKE THEM)
Ive just spent the equivalent of three months salary on summer classes and educational vacations for my son. Its a huge burden on our family, but Im afraid the pressure for him to compete at school will only grow. What should I do?
Stressed Sally
Kids: What are they good for, except to cost you 痛苦 (t7ngk^, pain) and 毀掉 (hu@di3o, destroy) your life?! My son is a total 啃老族 (k0nl2oz%, boomerang child), an absolute 眼中釘,肉中刺 (y2n zh4ng d~ng, r7u zh4ng c#, nail in the eye, and thorn in the flesh) ever since he was born. Was your 腦袋被驢踢了 (n2odai b-i l( t~ le, head kicked by a donkey)? Put your son to work around the house as soon as possible. Nothing should be 免費(fèi) (mi2nf-i, free)! Tell him to be obedient and accept the career you choose for him so he can support you in your old age. After all, 人在屋檐下,
不得不低頭 (r9n z3i w$y1n xi3, b&deb& d~t5u, bow your head if you live under someones roof)!
Beijing has changed so much! I crave the cheap chuanr ?that used to be found on every corner in the summer. Dont you think its such a shame?
A Beijing Local
Sure! The 好日子 (h2o r#zi, good old days) when you could easily grab some rat meat cooked in gutter oil. Heres a solution for you: 滾 (g^n, get out)! Theres just no pleasing you, is there? Arent you the same person who complained about all the 外地人 (w3id#r9n, migrants)? Didnt you say that they lack 素質(zhì) (s&zh#, “quality”) and 文化 (w9nhu3, culture)? And they made the city 烏煙瘴氣 (w$y`n zh3ngq#, foul and messy)? Now you want them back, huh? 沒門兒 (M9im9nr, no way)! Just 閉嘴 (b#zu@, shut up) and enjoy your spotless city and be content of ordering overpriced 外賣 (w3im3i, take-out) from that lifeless organic restaurant that tastes like hell!
