“I dont need a haircut！” he would always shout. One day， Sammy got his worst haircut yet. After that， he decided2 he would never get another haircut again.

他總是一直吵著：“我不需要理發(fā)！”有一天，薩米剪了一個(gè)最糟糕的發(fā)型之后，他決定以后再也不理發(fā)了。

For a while， he loved his long hair. It grew past his eyes， and he liked how it blew every where when it was windy outside. It grew past his nose， and he liked how it moved when he shook3 his head around. Now， it grew past his chin， and he didnt want to cut them at all.

有一段時(shí)間，他很喜愛(ài)他的長(zhǎng)發(fā)。頭發(fā)長(zhǎng)過(guò)他的眼睛時(shí)，他喜歡在外面刮風(fēng)時(shí)頭發(fā)被吹向各個(gè)方向。頭發(fā)長(zhǎng)過(guò)他的鼻子了，他喜歡在他搖頭時(shí)長(zhǎng)發(fā)跟著擺動(dòng)?，F(xiàn)在，頭發(fā)已經(jīng)長(zhǎng)過(guò)他的下巴了，但是他一點(diǎn)也不想剪掉。

But as his hair got longer， some things got harder. It was harder for Sammy to see since the hair covered his eyes. He ate two napkins4 before he found that they werent cakes.

但是隨著他的頭發(fā)變長(zhǎng)，有些事情變得越來(lái)越艱難。由于頭發(fā)遮住了眼睛，薩米很難看清東西。他吃了兩張餐巾紙才意識(shí)到自己吃的不是蛋糕。

It was also harder for Sammy to wash his hair since it was so long. In the shower， he found two potato chips in his hair. It was even harder for Sammy to wear hats. His baseball cap couldnt fit on a head with so much hair.

由于頭發(fā)太長(zhǎng)了，薩米洗頭也很難。在淋浴時(shí)，他發(fā)現(xiàn)兩塊薯片粘在了頭發(fā)上。薩米要戴帽子更難。他的棒球帽已經(jīng)不能戴在頭發(fā)那么多的頭上了。

His hair grew past his shoulders， and Sammy didnt know what to do with it. It grew past his belly button5， and Sammy wasnt enjoying his long hair as much as he used to. It grew past his feet， and Sammy kept tripping6 over it. Sammy was not so happy with his long hair anymore.

他的頭發(fā)超過(guò)肩膀了，薩米不知道該拿它怎么辦。然后超過(guò)了他的肚臍，薩米不再像以前那樣喜歡他的長(zhǎng)發(fā)了。頭發(fā)長(zhǎng)過(guò)他的腳了，薩米不斷被絆倒。薩米對(duì)他的長(zhǎng)發(fā)不再感到滿意了。

At last， one morning his parents had enough， so they went to his room to take him to the barber7. But by that time his hair had been full of his room， and it was still growing！

終于，一天早晨，他的父母受夠了，于是他們跑到他的房間，帶他去理發(fā)店。但是這時(shí)，他的頭發(fā)已經(jīng)塞滿了整個(gè)房間，而且還在一直長(zhǎng)！

Sammy squeezed8 out the front door， and his hair followed behind. He sat in the back of the car， and his hair dragged9 behind him. His parents sat him in the barber chair， and his hair was full of the shop！

薩米擠出前門(mén)，他的頭發(fā)拖在后面。他坐到汽車的后座上，頭發(fā)被迫在后面拖著。他的父母讓他坐在理發(fā)椅上，他的頭發(fā)鋪滿了整個(gè)理發(fā)店！

When the haircut was over， Sammy felt great. When he looked in the mirror， he thought that maybe he was wrong about haircuts.

理完發(fā)后，薩米感覺(jué)很棒。當(dāng)他看著鏡子時(shí)，他想也許以前他關(guān)于理發(fā)的想法是錯(cuò)的。

Everyone was happy...except for the barber who spent the next three days cleaning up all the hair he had cut.

每個(gè)人都很高興……除了理發(fā)師，他花了接下來(lái)的三天時(shí)間才清理完剪下來(lái)的所有頭發(fā)。
