1. Throwing apples at people was a way of declaring your love in ancient Greece. 在古希臘,向別人扔蘋果是一種示愛的方式。
Catching the fruit means acceptance of the feeling. In ancient Greece apples were considered to be “sacred to Aphrodite”. 接住蘋果表示接受了對(duì)方的愛意。古希臘人認(rèn)為蘋果是“愛神阿弗洛狄忒的圣果”。
2. There are so many different types of apples, that if you ate a new one every day, it would take over 20 years to try them all. 蘋果有非常多的品種,如果你每天都吃一種,那你要二十多年才能全都試一遍。
