On November 29th， Hebei Day opened at the China Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. This activity was a combination of online and offline events. Shijiazhuang city set up a main venue to hold opening activities and cooperation promotions. At the same time， 13 overseas sub-venues were set up in the United Arab Emirates， Bahrain， Russia， South Africa， Saudi Arabia， Egypt， Oman， India and other countries， and 34 provincial sub-venues were also set up in cities across Hebei Province， the Xiongan New Area and some key counties.

At the opening ceremony， Zhang Shenfeng， General Representative of the Chinese Government and Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （hereinafter CCPIT）， Xia Yanjun， Vice Governor of the Hebei Provincial Peoples Government， Ali Al Dhaheri， UAE Ambassador to China， Juma Mohamed AI Kait， Assistant Deputy Minister of the UAE Ministry of Economic Affairs， etc. delivered video speeches.

Zhang Shenfeng explained that Hebei Day fully displayed the achievements and bright prospects of Hebeis economic and social development， and vigorously promoted cooperation and exchanges be- tween Hebei Province， the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries in terms of production capacity， trade， cultural tourism and other aspects， as well as sharing development opportunities.

Xia Yanjun said focusing on the theme“Building a community with a shared future for mankind”of the China Pavilion， Hebei Day at the Expo 2020 Dubai highlighted three key points， namely， advantageous capacity cooperation， foreign trade expansion， and cultural tourism exhibition and promotion. These should be used to carefully organize a series of pragmatic and efficient economic and trade activities， and display the new advantages， new opportunities and new achievements of Hebeis development to the fullest possible scale.

Ali Al Dhaheri reiterated that the Expo 2020 Dubai is the largest global cultural event since the outbreak of COVID-19. The China Pavilion shows Chinas outstanding achievements in the fields of science， technology and sustainable development. Based on the common belief in sustainable development and the principle of building a“Community of Shared Future for Mankind”， the United Arab Emirates and China have established a comprehensive strategic partnership. The Expo 2020 Dubai will not only bring about business opportunities for the United Arab Emirates， but will also create more new opportunities for Chinese enterprises to develop in the United Arab Emirates.

Juma Mohamed AI Kait expressed the fact that the economies of the two countries are highly diversified， and many industries are synergistic and mutually beneficial. There will continue to be many trade and investment opportunities in the future. In addition to education， logistics， infrastructure， industry， advanced technology and innovation， medical care and life sciences， tourism， finance and banking， renewable energy， agriculture and food security are areas that require special attention. The two sides should further explore the partnership between the public and private sectors， and encourage more dialog in business circles.

On Hebei Day， the online exhibition“Expo 2020 Dubai Hebei Brand Global Tour”was also opened simultaneously. The Hebei Export Commodities Online Fair， activities connecting the China Anping International Wire Mesh Fair and Middle East， the Hebei Global Auto Parts Online Exhibition and other exhibition and negotiation activities were also held. During the Expo， Hebei Province also focused on integrating into the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthening cooperation with the Middle East， and carried out a series of targeted activities， such as the special matchmaking meeting between the Xiongan New Area and Bahrain Sovereign Fund， Hebei and the United Arab Emirates， Cangzhou city and the Middle East， etc.， in order to organize for enterprises to carry out international capacity docking， expand overseas markets and promote twoway investment and cooperation.
