After appearing for the first time at Shanghai Disneyland Resort, LinaBell has become unexpectedly popular with many fans on Chinese social media platforms. It was calculated that a topic with the character's name has been viewed over 350 million times on Weibo.

So, who on earth is LinaBell? Disney officially introduced the idol as follows:

“We are so excited to introduce to you our new friend of Duffy, LinaBell. She is a fox with an inquisitive（好奇的）mind and the intelligence that supports it. She finds joy and excitement in solving problems and mysteries.”

“Duffy met LinaBell when he was lost in the forest following a butterfly. LinaBell suddenly but masterfully took out her magnifying glass and started examining“clues”on Duffy's body to figure out where he had come from.Thanks to her detectivelike talent, Duffy was able to be reunited with Mickey Mouse. Duffy and the rest of the friends are often in awe of her ingenious ways of solving problems.”

LinaBell's souvenirs（紀(jì)念品）at Shanghai Disney were sold out, only to reappear on second-hand shopping platforms such as Xianyu at higher prices. For example, a mid-sized LinaBell,which sold for 219 yuan ($34), now costs as much as 888 yuan,according to media reports.

On China's major e-commerce sites,LinaBell-related merchandise has also become best-sellers.
