Act 1
Witch: Good afternoon, everybody. I’m a witch. Don’t be afraid! I’m not the evil witch in the fairy tales. I’m kind and helpful. I have a black hat, a magic broom(掃帚), and a wand(魔法棒). Today is Halloween. I am going to take part in a Halloween party. I will go there by my magic broom.
Act 2
Narrator: Suddenly, a gust of wind(一陣風(fēng)) blows the witch’s hat off.
Witch: Oh, no! My hat! Come back! Where is my hat? I can’t find it.
Dog: How strong the wind is! Oh, what’s that? It looks like a witch’s hat. Whose hat is it?
Witch: Hi! This is my hat. Thank you for finding it. It’s very important for a witch!
Dog: Here you are. Are you going to take part in the Halloween party?
Witch: Yes, you are right.
Dog: I’m going to take part in the party, too. But it’s far away from here. Is there any room on the broom for a dog like me?
Witch: Of course! Get on, let’s go.
Act 3
Narrator: The wind is so heavy. It blows off the bowknot(蝴蝶結(jié)) on the witch’s cloak(披風(fēng)).
Witch: Gosh, my bowknot is blew off by the wind!
Dog: I can’t see it . Let’s stop and find it.
Bird: Wow, a beautiful bowknot! Whose bowknot is it?
Witch: Hey, bird. You are carrying my bowknot.
Bird: Here you are. It is blew off by the naughty(淘氣的)wind.
Witch: Thank you .You are so kind.
Bird: My pleasure. Where are you guys going?
Dog: To the Halloween party!
Bird: Cool! I want to take part in that party, too. Is there any room on the broom for a bird like me?
Witch: Of course. Come with us.
Dog: Welcome to join us.
Bird: Great! I like Halloween. I can play “Trick or Treat” with the kids.
Act 4
Narrator: But the naughty wind doesn’t stop his trick. This time he blows off the witch’s wand.
Witch: Golly(天哪), the wind takes my wand away! I must find it!
Bird: Don’t worry. We will help you.
Frog: Ouch(好痛)! What is that? A twig(樹枝)? I will throw it away.
Dog: Look, it’s over there, in that frog’s hand. He is about to(即將) throw it away!
Witch: No! Stop! This is my wand. As a witch, I cannot live without it.
Frog: Sorry. I thought it was a useless twig. Here you are .
Witch: Never mind. We are going to the Halloween party. Will you join us?
Frog: It’s my honor. But is there any room on the broom for a frog like me?
Witch: Of course, my dear friend .Go back to your seat. It’s time to go.
Act 5
Narrator: Finally, the witch and her friends reach the party.
Witch: Thank you all! Without you, I cannot take part in the party on time. Two heads are better than one(人多力量大). Let’s prepare for the Halloween party. What do we need?
Frog: I need a mask.
Dog: I need some chocolate beans.
Bird: I need a pumpkin lantern.
Witch: OK. Let’s stand around the cauldron(坩堝)and speak the magic words.
All: Trick or treat! Trick or treat! Create things to celebrate. Mask, lantern, and chocolate bean. Happy happy Halloween!
Narrator: The witch waves her wand. Things fly out of the cauldron.
Witch: A pumpkin lantern for you .
Bird: Thank you.
Witch: Here are some chocolate beans.
Dog: Yummy!
Witch: A mask for you .
Frog: So cool!
All: The Halloween party begins!
