A debate on artificial intelligence(AI)
Last Friday, our class held an English debate contest on the topic of“Advantages and disadvantages of AI”. The students engaged in the discussion on AI.
On the one hand, AI offers numerous advantages. It enhances efficiency in various sectors, such as healthcare and transportation. AI also has the potential to assist in solving complex problems and advancing scientific research. On the other hand, they also discussed the risks of AI,such as privacy concerns and the possibility of AI becoming uncontrollable.
In my opinion, while AI has its benefits, we must also be cautious and consider the potential consequences. It is essential to continue researching and developing AI in a responsible and ethical manner.

Dear fellow students,
I am Li Hua, president of the Youth Volunteer Association. With the volunteering spirit spreading among Chinese people, especially among youngsters, more and more people are willing to serve as volunteers.
Since the winter vacation is around the corner, we are writing this letter to recruit volunteers to help people who live in the poverty-stricken areas. We are going to help them rebuild some shabby accommodation and repair the unmade roads, improving the infrastructure for the locals.Through this experience, not only can we broaden our horizons, but we can improve our team spirit and interpersonal skills, which is really rewarding.
Hopefully you will join in the action and extend warm help to those needy persons.

動作描寫——影響事件發(fā)展的動作鏈
Paragraph 1:
The car abruptly stopped in front of him.Mac crashed into the car with a loud bang. As a result, he fell off the bicycle and had his left ankle twisted. Hardly had Mac stood up when the wolf arrived and was about to launch another attack. Mac was going to die when suddenly the wolf was hit right on the head by a piece of rock. The wolf fell back, howling with pain. It was Paul who did this. Becky helped Mac climb into the car, while Paul kept shouting and throwing stones at the wolf.
Paragraph 2:
A few minutes later, the other two cyclists arrived. They were shocked at what they saw and joined Paul. One of Mac's friends picked out some raw meat and threw it to the wolf. Satisfied with what he got, the wolf ran into the woods. Mac thanked Paul and Becky,“How grateful I am that you stopped to save me and I owe it to you that I'm still alive.”As Mac got injured, the three men had to give up the rest of their journey and returned home.
