Let’s read the story.
Ella is a little girl.
She likes sugar very much.
“So sweet!” says Ella happily(快樂地).
“Don’t forget to brush your teeth,” says Mum.
But Ella just brushes her teeth sometimes.
One day, Ella is having breakfast.
“Ouch!” shouts Ella suddenly(突然地).
“Ah ... I have a toothache,” says Ella painfully(痛苦地).
So, Mum takes Ella to see the dentist(牙醫(yī)).
A dentist checks Ella’s teeth.
“I am sorry,” says the dentist.
“You have tooth decay(蛀牙).”
Ella is painful(疼痛的).
“Do you eat a lot of sugar?” asks the dentist.
“Yes, I like sugar,” says Ella.
“Do you brush your teeth every day?” asks the dentist.
“Sometimes I brush, but sometimes I don’t,” says Ella.
“Teeth are our good friends,” says the dentist.
“Eat less sugar, because sugar can cause(導(dǎo)致) tooth decay.”
“And do brush your teeth twice(兩次) every day.”
The dentist treats(治療) Ella’s teeth.
He also teaches Ella the right way(正確的方法) to brush teeth.
Ella is grateful(感激的) to the dentist.
“Teeth are my good friends,” says Ella.
She determines to(決心) take good care of her “friends”.
