On September 21,the Organizing Committee of China International Maritime Convention and Exhibition held a press conference in Shanghai,announcing the preparatory information of the 2023 China International Maritime Technology Conference and Exhibition which will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center from December 5-8 this year.We learn that 15 countries and regions have confirmed to set up national/regional pavilions in this exhibition,and enterprises from 30 countries and regions have confirmed to attend the exhibition.The theme of the highlevel maritime forum to be held at the same time is "innovation,wisdom,low carbon".

At the press conference,Xing Wenhua,chairman of the Chinese Organizing Committee of China International Maritime Exhibition and chairman of Shanghai Society of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering,introduced the development background of the maritime industry and the preparation of the exhibition.Gong Kangkang,Chairman of the Foreign Organizing Committee of China International Maritime Exhibition,Vice President of Asia Informa Markets and Managing Director of China,introduced the work of the overseas exhibition.Ni Meisen,Commercial Consul and Director of Environment and Water Resources of the Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai,introduced the Danish maritime industry,maritime exchanges and cooperation and relevant information of the Danish Pavilion.Wang Yanguo,deputy general manager of CSSC Cruise Technology Development,introduced the development status of the cruise industry and the relevant situation of the "Three Tours" exhibition area.Lin Tingjun,director of the Pudong New Area Commerce Committee (Shipping Office),introduced the preparations for the Pudong Shipping Week held at the same time.

The 21st China International Maritime Exhibition,which was held off line again after four years,is hghly expected by the global maritime industry.The exhibition was originally planned to rent the W2～W5 hall and the N1～N3 hall.By early August,the number of queuing enterprises had far exceeded the capacity of the exhibition hall.In order to meet the strong willingness of the majority of enterprises to participate in the exhibition,after the consultation of the exhibition organizers,the exhibition decided to launch the new hall W1 Hall,and planned to use the south entrance hall as the subentrance of the exhibition to facilitate the admission.

Hall N is an overseas exhibition area,with three pavilions.As of August 20,a total of 30 enterprises from countries and regions have confirmed their participation,including 15 countries/ regions.The German Pavilion is still the largest overseas exhibition group,followed by the Danish Pavilion and the Norwegian Pavilion.Global industry giants such as Mann,Wartsila,ABB,Siemens,Kangsberg,Rolls-Royce,McKea,Hyundai Heavy Industries,Mitsubishi Heavy Industries,Kawasaki Heavy Industries,Nagaish and Ulstein continue to appear at the event.

Hall W is the domestic exhibition area.From the perspective of geographical distribution,in addition to enterprises in Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan,a total of enterprises from 24 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government will participate in the exhibition,3 regional exhibision groups including Zhoushan in Zhejiang,Jiangsu Nantong,Shanghai Pudong and university exhibition area.Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai,Shandong and Guangdong ranked the top five in the number of exhibitors.With the continuous promotion of the industry to decarbonization and digitalization and intelligence,many exhibitors will come from the field of new energy and intelligent ships,such as new energy battery head enterprises such as CATL,Calb Tech,Yiwei Lithium Energy,as well as many intelligent equipment enterprises with distinctive characteristics such as Zhuhai Yunzhou.From the current overall data,the exhibition scale is expected to hit the top,many key exhibitors pleged to release important new products in the exhibition,enterprise executives will come to Shanghai.Major industry organizations,embassies and consulates in China are also planning the same period business activities.The exhibition is expected to become the most important maritime exhibition in Asia and even the world in the past four years.

The theme of "Innovation,Wisdom and Low Carbon" of the senior maritime forum,to be held at the same time of the exhibition,adheres to innovation and is in line with the development progress of the current"decarbonization" plan of the maritime industry.The forum will be held on December 4-7 in Shanghai Kerry Hotel Pudong adjacent to the exhibition hall.The 5+1 mode will be retained in the venue setting.Among them,five for fixed session,including "Keynote Speech",“Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering”,“Shipping and Port”,“Maritime Finance and Law”,“Ship and Offshore Engineering Equipment Technology”,and a special session"Large Cruise” is added,cruise industry chain related experts are invited to present latest progress in construction,design,operation and marine equipment.

In the past two years,the global maritime industry has accelerated the decarbonization pace,"low carbon"has become a hot topic,many dualfueled ships,dual-fueled engines,fuel cells,new energy batteries,marine LNG FGSS,desulfurization devices,and many other green products and technologies will appear in the exhibition.With the acceleration of digitalization and intelligent process,the field of unmanned ship will also be one of the noteworthy contents of this exhibition.The first large domestically manufactured cruise ship "Idora Magic City" will be delivered this year and will implement an international route with Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Port as its home port on January 1,2024.With the support of the Cruise Ship and Yacht Branch of China Tourism Vehicle and Boat Association,the overall number and level of exhibitors in the "Cruise Interior Decoration Exhibition Area"will be further improved.In addition to the key overseas interior decoration enterprises,it will also focus on displaying the continuous development of interior decoration supply chain enterprises in China in recent years,and build a cruise experience area.

In addition to the high-level maritime forum,relevant maritime organizations and enterprises will also spontaneously host various forums,technical exchange meetings,product launches,signing ceremonies and award ceremonies,with hundreds of activities.The Pudong New District government will lead the holding of the first "Pudong Shipping Week",with the six-day activities including highend seminars,business docking,new product release,recreation and sports events,etc.,to create a big party of shipping culture.

At present,the pre-registration system of this exhibition has been officially launched,WeChat mini program and exhibition App are scheduled to be launched in November,and the online exhibitor information declaration system will continue to play an important role.The offline audience organization work is progressing smoothly,and invitations will be issued to relevant industry organizations,government departments,universities,enterprises and institutions to encourage relevant units to visit in groups.At the same time,the organizing committee will continue to organize nearly 200 professional visiting groups,formulate exclusive visiting routes for matching visits.For a certain group of visitors,the organizing committee will continue to provide prefabricated badge service to reduce the queuing time.
