同學們在做句型轉換練習時，常見到“將單數(shù)句變成復數(shù)句“這類練習題。不少學生做這類練習時總是“顧此失彼”。那么，如何將單數(shù)句變成復數(shù)句呢？請注意以下幾點：

一、將作主語的主格人稱代詞，由單數(shù)形式變?yōu)閺蛿?shù)形式，即：I→we, you→you, she (he, it)→they。例如：

He is a boy. →They are boys.

二、am或is要變?yōu)閍re。例如：

I am a student. →We are students.

She is in Class One. →They are in Class One.

三、不定冠詞a(an)要去掉。（固定搭配除外）例如：

It is a backpack. →They are backpacks.

四、可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)要變?yōu)閺蛿?shù)形式。例如：

It is a photo. →They are photos.

五、指示代詞this或that要分別變?yōu)閠hese或those。例如：

This is an English watch. →These are English watches.

That is a dictionary. →Those are dictionaries.

六、man或woman修飾可數(shù)名詞時，在整個句子變成復數(shù)的情況下，它們也變?yōu)閺蛿?shù)形式men, women。例如：

She is a woman teacher.→They are women teachers.

注意：普通單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞要變?yōu)閺蛿?shù)形式，但當名詞修飾名詞表示“性質(zhì)”時不作變化。例如：apple/banana/orange/pear tree→apple/banana/orange/pear trees 蘋果/香蕉/桔子/梨樹；boy/girl student→boy/girl students等。

七、單數(shù)句變復數(shù)句時，句中的形容詞、定冠詞、副詞、疑問詞、介詞短語和感嘆詞等保持不變。例如：

Who is she? 她是誰:→Who are they? 她們是誰？

八、此外，還須注意并不是所有的英語單數(shù)句子都可以變成復數(shù)句子。例如：

My name is Emma. 我叫艾瑪。
