very是一個(gè)使用頻率較高的副詞。一般來說，副詞可以用來修飾形容詞、副詞或動(dòng)詞，但用very修飾這些詞時(shí)，要注意以下幾點(diǎn)：

一、 不可單獨(dú)修飾動(dòng)詞

1.他們非常喜歡英語。

誤：They very like English.

正：They like English very much.

2.布朗先生非常喜歡吃水果。

誤：Mr. Brown very likes fruit.

正：Mr. Brown likes fruit a lot.

二、不可修飾做表語的形容詞

3.我們此刻非常清醒。

誤：We are very awake at the moment.

正：Wearewideawakeatthe

moment.

4.工人們?nèi)栽谑焖?/p>

誤：Theworkersarestillvery

asleep.

正：Theworkersarestillfast

asleep.

5.昨晚這座房子里就她一個(gè)人。

誤: She was very alone in the house last night.

正：She was all alone in the house last night.

三、不可修飾形容詞或副詞的比較級

6. 湯姆比凱特高得多。

誤：Tom is very taller than Kate.

正：Tom is much taller than Kate.

7. 昨天很冷，但今天更冷。

誤：It was cold yesterday, but it is very colder today.

正：It was cold yesterday, but it is still / even colder today.

8. 這部電影比那一部好得多。

誤：This film is very better than that one.

正：This film is far better than that one.

四、不可用來加強(qiáng)副詞或介詞短語的語氣

9.他到處找他的鋼筆，可它就在他的書桌里。

誤：He looked for his pen here and there, but it was very in his desk.

正：Helookedforhispenhere

and there, but it was right in his desk.

10.這部電影非常值得一看。

誤：This film is very worth seeing.

正：This film is well worth seeing.

五、不可修飾“too+形容詞/副詞”結(jié)構(gòu)

11.這件毛衣她穿起來太大了。

誤：This sweater is very too large for her.

正：This sweater is much too large for her.

12. 我們的英語老師講話太快了。

誤：Our English teacher speaks very too fast.

正：Our English teacher speaks all too fast.

六、不可替代“so...that...”，“too...to...”結(jié)構(gòu)中的so和too

13. 他的弟弟年齡非常小，不能去上學(xué)。

誤：His brother is very young to go to school.

正：His brother is too young to go to school.

14. 他非常激動(dòng)，一句話也說不出來。

誤：He is very excited that he cant say a word.

正：He is so excited that he cant say a word.

七、不可出現(xiàn)在感嘆句中，以免與感嘆詞重復(fù)

15. 多么漂亮的花??！

誤：What very beautiful flowers!

正：What beautiful flowers!

16.同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)多么努力??！

誤：How very hard the students are working!

正：How hard the students are working!
