編者注：2008年，奧運會把國際體育運動匯集到中國；2010年，世博會將全世界的發(fā)展進步展現(xiàn)于中國；2011年，世界華人運動會讓全球華人歡聚在故鄉(xiāng)——中國。

The Universal Chinese Sports was established in 2004.It has held many games in Singapore,Malaysia,Indonesia and so on.It not only won theapproval(贊同)and support of the Chinese in these countries,but also attracted(吸引)local sports fans to take part in the competition.

世界華人運動大會自2004年創(chuàng)辦以來，至今已先后在新加坡、馬來西亞、印度尼西亞等國家舉行了多次賽事活動，不僅得到舉辦地華人的廣泛贊同與支持，也吸引了當(dāng)?shù)氐捏w育愛好者的積極參與。

The FirstUniversal Chinese Sports will be held inmainland China(中國大陸),Hong Kong,Macao and Taipei at the same time.The Chinese from more than 200 countries and districts will take part in this game.

首屆世界華人運動會將于2011年11月11日至11月17日在中國大陸、香港、澳門和臺北同時舉行。來自世界200多個國家和地區(qū)的華人將參加此次比賽。

The theme of this game is“One Family,One Hope”.Ithighlights (突出)the combination(結(jié)合)of heritage and innovation,commonweal(公益)and charity,humanity and technology.It is a grand sport that promotes the communication among the Chinese all over the world through sports.

本次大會以“共同的家園·共同的心愿”為主題，突出傳承與創(chuàng)新、公益與慈善、人文與科技的結(jié)合，是通過體育運動增進世界各地華人交流的體育盛會。

Themascot(吉祥物)is Longbao.Red and yellow are its main colors.It wears a red bellyband(肚兜)on which there is a Chinese word “Long”.It means that we arethe descen dant(后代)of the dragon.Its image is lovely andendearing (惹人喜愛的).The five-color strings are the five colors of the Olympic rings.Its left hand makes a gesture of number“1”.It means the first Universal Chinese Sports and the spirit of the Sports—“humanism,nature,health and harmony”.

吉祥物龍寶的色彩以紅、黃為主，身上穿著紅肚兜，上面繡著“龍”字，突出我們是龍的傳人。龍寶的形象乖巧、惹人喜愛，五色發(fā)繩是奧運五環(huán)的色彩，左手打著數(shù)字“1”的手勢，突出首屆世界華人運動會和“人本、自然、健康、和諧”的華運會精神。
