The smart phone in mobile learning and the it’s advance in English study

Abstract: fast developed internet has involved in peoples daily lives, the convenience of smart phone permit lots of companies to put different types of study apps, as we all know, English study has a big issue owe lack of language environment, apparently, mobile study has become a new trend of study model, this paper is aimed at using high-technology to come true whenever and wherever study, improve the efficiency of English learning.

Key words: mobile study; smart phone; English study.

一、The concept of mobile learning and learning

Learning not only happened in school and classroom, but take place in the complicated society. In the anciently study, the researchers usually get the result through experiment in the lab, but we know this way cant ?work in human, human live in the big world, it cant be easily analysis through lab work as the interaction between human and human, human and society, human and the nature. ?As the same, the study is impossible take place in limited and settled places.

The learners combine a complete inner world with intrinsic memory、experience、motivation and reaction, and meaningful mix tighter with inner world when learners deal with new messages and knowledge , that is called learning.

二、Mobile learning and based on smart phones mobile learning

The academic have various understand from unlike points about the mobile study, but mostly we divided into three opinions. First, view the mobile learning as a new form of distance education. Second, we see the mobile learning as extent of e-learning. Third, from the cognitive study point, the mobile and circumstance characters of mobile learning make it as a full new methods of technology and study.

Mobile learning on smart phone give possibility to learners as its abundant resources and shortcut time and place, mobile learning let students study without teachers, and it is not like the computer which limited to place, learners are more relax and become the leader of new knowledge , this way is much better for learners to renew study-strategy. The environmental problem is far more than traditional class teaching methods, as the society is much different from the classroom, most role play application environment is also cant get the aim result, we cant create an ideal English teaching environment, otherwise, by the amount reason, teachers cant take care of everyone. But the mobile study can fix it, with the help of internet technology, smart phone create a fictitious language environment. We combine English learning with technology which is centre to smart phone will benefit our English teaching model.

三、The situation of English learning and its relationship with mobile learning

The mobile study has many advantages, like strong mobility, strong connective, strong interactivity, the support of high technology, thus we are thinking to use the smart phone to our English teaching and study.

English is a language using to communicate, it will be better for learners to insult if the learning happen in a true environment. And because the smart phone has mobility and anytime interactive characters, it will help learners in English environment to practice. According to the English learning feature, learners can learn English anytime based on their own situation. For example, when we see an advertisement in English, we can use phone to search the meaning and even grammar, get the spelling and pronunciation, gradually the learner can cumulate more in our daily life.

《The research on Chinese net by phone in 2003》shows that, s almost have as high as 73.1%

Chinese internet user use their smart phone to surf the internet, it tells that the learners would choose no limit surf style. This is also more suit English learning features.

四、Conclusion

Mobile study is considered as a future learning model, or an obligate style in future. And mobile study is a new career, still have lots of problems that need us to find, to think, to solve. We already have a trend in universities that try to use on-line technology to teaching, but we should make full use of mobile net to serve our English learning career.
