Successful Commercial Test of Novel Desulfurizing Agent at SINOPEC Shanghai Gaoqiao Branch Company

The novel JX-7 jet fuel desulfurizing agent has been successful tested in commercial scale on the jet fuel hydrotreating unit at the SINOPEC Gaoqiao Branch Company, while delivering a jet fuel with its silver strip corrosion indicator meeting the military jet fuel standard.

According to the commercial test program, the jet fuel stream after leaving the flter of hydrotreating unit at frst enters two desulfurization reactors (which can be connected in parallel or in series) in order to remove the residual hydrogen sulfde and low-molecular organic sulfur compounds to meet the spec on silver strip corrosion, and then the desulfurized liquid fuel stream is routed to the fuel blending storage tank area.

In order to guarantee the safety and reliability of commercial tests, the Administration of Gaoqiao Branch Company has made the risk evaluation and review relating to possible troubles in every production sector. After everything went off without a hitch, the reactors flled with the JX-7 jet fuel desulfurizing agent had come on stream on September 2, 2016, and are still running normally and smoothly at present.
