Design of Main Dam Zoning of Upper Reservoir and Dam Construction Materials of Xiangshuijian Pumped Storage Station

The main dam of the upper reservoir of Xiangshuijian pumped storage station is concrete face rockfill dam.Guided with the concept of making full use of the excavated materials from reservoir basin expansion to fill the dam and achieve balance of the earth-rock excavation and filling,reasonable dam zoning and dam construction materials shall be designed according to the requirements of dam deformation,seepage characteristics and stability of the dam in combination with the topographic conditions of dam foundation;at the construction stage,the design of dam zoning is optimized according to the actual conditions of the source of materials for saving the project investment.The calculation,monitoring in construction period,inversion analysis and monitoring results in operation period show that the total deformation of the dam is small,the stress distribution conforms to the general rules of similar projects,and the concrete face deflection and deformation of stress and joints are all within the allowable range.

Although PMC is one of the main contract modes of project construction,it lacks research on PMC model in the theoretical field.This research analyzes the development path of PMC from the development course of the general contract of our country and the advantages of PMC model from the owners point of view,and analyzes the main reasons for promotion PMC model in hydraulic project construction through research and analysis,and points out several issues for promoting PMC in China's prevailing laws and policies.

Reservoir Sediment Research of ICLA Hydropower Project in Bolivia

The main task of ICLA hydropower project is power generation,while taking irrigation into account.The reservoir storage capacity is 1.52 billion m3,in which the effective storage is 860 million m3.The average annual runoff at dam site is 1.67 billion m3,average annual sediment discharge of suspended load is 33.52 million tons,and of bed load is 3.69 million tons,the total sediment discharge is 37.21 million tons.Sediment concentration of average annual suspended load is 21.0 kg/m3,with reservoir sediment ratio of about 50,the sediment problem is very prominent,the purpose of sediment research is to put forward reasonable regulation and operation mode of reservoir sediment via mathematical model study of sediment so as to maximize the life of the reservoir and promote the benefits of project.
