筆者有幸參加了“千課萬人”全國小學英語課堂教學研討觀摩活動,其中來自杭州的趙涯老師執(zhí)教的PEP五(上)What’s he like?以其親切自然的教態(tài)、明朗流暢的語言、豐富多彩的活動,讓筆者受益匪淺。
【教學片斷一】
T:Today,I’m your English teacher.OK?
Ss:OK.
T:So do you know anything about your English teacher?Do you know where I am from and what my favourite color is?
Ss:No.
T:Don’t worry about that.Because I am going to show you something.Look!Here is some information aboutme.Firstly,this is my family name.
接著趙老師分別以“What is my family name?Where am I from?Whatismy favourite color?What do I do?”四個問題向?qū)W生介紹自己。
其中穿插了“Whois wearing yellow today?Who is wearingwhitetoday?Whois wearinggreentoday?Whois your English teacher?And who is your Chinese teacher?Do you like Chinese? Who is your maths teacher?Can you tell me about something your teachers?”等問題,讓學生自由談論自己的同學和老師。
最后趙老師以“Do you know what I like to do?”這一問題,讓學生猜一猜老師喜歡做什么,引出老師愛玩游戲。
【教學賞析】
上課伊始,趙老師以真實的情境,利用學生對新老師的好奇展開交流,為本課的其他環(huán)節(jié)起到了很好的熱身作用。最后以自己愛玩游戲的話題為接下來的游戲環(huán)節(jié)作鋪墊。
【教學片斷二】
1.Game1:Opposite!Opposite!Go!Go!Go!
老師說明規(guī)則后開始游戲。
T:Long hair,long hair.
Ss:Short hair,short hair.
T:Big eyes,big eyes.
Ss:Small eyes,small eyes.
T:Small nose,small nose.
Ss:Big nose,big nose.
T:Big mouth,big mouth.
Ss: Small mouth, small mouth.
...
T:Bravo! You are really good at it.So I want to play the second games with you.
2.Game 2:Yes or No!
簡單的游戲操練后呈現(xiàn)圖片,開始“Yes or No”的游戲。
T:She is a woman.
Ss:Yes!Yes!Yes!
T:She is vey young.
Ss:No!No!No!
T:Sosheisnotyoung.What’s she like?
Ss:She is old.
T:She is old.Follow me,old,old.Then we have this one.Cold,hold,old.She is old,but you are very young.So can you tell me“Who is young in your family? Who isold in your family”?
教學單詞old和young.學生談論關(guān)于家庭成員的一些情況。
T:We have to go on.She is very fat.
Ss:No!No!No!
T:So what’s she like?
Ss:She is thin.

讓學生說說班里身體強壯的同學。

T:Could you please tell me“Who is tall in your class?Who is short in our class?”
讓學生描述班里的同學。
T:So you really did a good job.I want to play third game with you.
3.Game3:Debate!(辯論賽)
T:He is man.What do you think about this man? If you think this is a very young man,then you say he’s young!Young!Young!Young!If you think this is a very strong man,then you say he’s strong!Strong!Strong!Strong!
讓學生猜測并大聲地表達,最后呈現(xiàn)了潘長江的滑稽漫畫。
T:So he is old.He is thin.And he is short.Yeah,he is very funny.
T:So next one,what’s he like?Sorry,you can’t see the picture clearly.But don’t worry,I know the answer.You can ask me, “What’s he like”?I will tell you.
教 學 句 型 “What’s he like?”,讓學生運用句型來詢問并悄悄告訴四個學生。
T: Let’s ask together.What’s he like?Who can tell us?
請剛才知道答案的學生來回答。
T:This man is tall.He is young.He is funny.And he is kind.Look!Who is he?
呈現(xiàn)小沈陽的圖片,并教學單詞kind。
T:Xiao Shenyang is very kind.And I am kind,too.Who is kind in our class?And show us.
T:He is kind and funny.

讓學生說說自己熟悉的笑星。
【教學賞析】
在小學英語課堂教學中,恰當?shù)剡\用游戲可以調(diào)節(jié)課堂氣氛,激發(fā)學生的學習興趣,提高其積極性。趙老師在此環(huán)節(jié)設(shè)計的三個游戲?qū)哟胃惺?,語言由易到難層層深入,并且運用得恰到好處。在第一個游戲中,配上愉快的音樂簡單地復習三、四年級所學過描述人的一些形容詞,為最后的輸出環(huán)節(jié)做充分準備;第二個游戲,不僅僅只是判斷,加上肢體動作,在輕松愉快的氛圍中運用對比的方法教學新詞old,young,fat,thin,strong 等;第三個游戲,鞏固運用剛學習的新詞并教學句型“What’s he like?”??此坪翢o聯(lián)系的三個游戲,實則步步展開教學,環(huán)節(jié)緊緊相扣。
【教學片斷三】
1.創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,呈現(xiàn)對話。
T:Who is his math teacher?
Ss:Mr.Zhao is his math teacher.
T:What’s he like?
Ss:He is thin and short.He’s very kind.
T:Wow!You got it!Let’s listen and repeat.
2.學生聽音模仿。
T:And this time,who would like to be Xiao Shenyang?And who would like to be Xie Na?
3.操練對話。
T:Xie Na comes to our class today,too.She wants to interview our classmate,so this timeIwantyou tomakea dialogue.
4.編對話談論自己的老師。
5.上臺展示。
【教學賞析】
《英語課程標準(2011版)》提出:“選擇具有時代氣息的語言材料,創(chuàng)設(shè)盡量真實的語言運用情境,設(shè)計生動活潑、互動性較強的語言學習活動”。在此環(huán)節(jié)中,教師創(chuàng)設(shè)了《快樂大本營》謝娜采訪小沈陽的情境,真實有趣而又貼近學生的生活。讓學生扮演明星進行對話,不失趣味,成功地激發(fā)了學生的表演欲望。最后創(chuàng)設(shè)謝娜來到教室想要了解學生的情境,讓學生創(chuàng)編對話,談論自己的老師,學生必然有話可說。
【教學片斷四】
1.Who is your best friend?
教師大致描述自己的一個好朋友,讓學生在會場找出此人。
T:So boys and girls.We can’t find a person with this information because we need more details.So I give you the details about my best friend.She has long hair and big eyes.She is wearing grey,blue and yellow today.She is wearing a pair of glasses.So who is my best friend?
T:So who isyourbest friend?You’re smart.This time,I hope you can describe your friends with these sentences.
給予更多的細節(jié)并出示該活動的語言框架,讓學生描述并猜一猜。
2.輸入“We often... together”.
T:This time I want to know more about your friends.What do you often do together?
Ss:We often do homework together.
Ss:We often go hiking together.
Ss:We often play games together.
...
T:But I am wondering.Do you share with each other?
教學share這一單詞。
3.輸入“I can share...with my friends”.
T:What can you share with each other?I can share chocolate with my friends.
Ss:I can share cakes with my friends.
Ss:I can share ideas with my friends.
Ss:I can share my feelings with my friends.
Ss:I can share stories with my friends.

4.書寫活動,并讓學生上臺展示。
【教學賞析】
英語學習的最終目的是培養(yǎng)學生的綜合語言運用能力。趙老師將本節(jié)課的最終目標設(shè)定為書寫一篇小短文給自己最好的朋友,不只是單純地描述,還要有真實的情感滲透?;仡櫛竟?jié)課的所有活動,最終目標都指向最后這一環(huán)節(jié)。學生在這一活動中能真實地運用自己的思維和已有的語言儲備。趙老師設(shè)計了半開放性的句型框架書寫,降低難度,讓學生對此不畏懼、樂于參與,并且鼓勵學生將友誼勇敢地表達出來,情動而不過于煽情,值得我們借鑒與學習。
趙涯老師教態(tài)親切自然,語言明晰流暢,通過一些問題讓學生了解自己,然后引出“I like to play games”,接下來設(shè)計的三個游戲Opposite,Yes or No以及Debate,有節(jié)奏感的音樂、豐富的肢體語言,都很好地帶動了課堂氣氛。整節(jié)課有傾聽、觀看、小組合作、上臺表演,也有靜下心來思考和書寫的時間,這樣的課實在是太豐富了,值得我們一次又一次地回味,并在自己的教學中加以實踐。
