1. 這個30 歲的男子離家在北京打工，依然打光棍。每當(dāng)他過年回老家探望爹媽時，總是畏懼被雙親和親戚們催婚。The 30- year- old man is away from home and does odd job in Beijing, remaining single. Every time when he goes back to his hometown to see his father and mother during the Lunar New Year holidays, he always dreads being urged by his parents and relatives to get married sooner.

“逼婚”的意思是“用暴力或威脅手段強迫對方不情愿地跟自己或別人結(jié)婚”。英語動詞譯為to force/compel sb to marry, to force sb into a marriage,to press sb for marriage。例如：

2. 這個女白領(lǐng)青年的媽媽逼婚，讓她嫁給一個她根本不愛的富家公子。The young white-collar worker's mother forced her to marry the son of a rich man whom she didn't love at all. ▲
