Dear John,
I am shocking to hear that you have bad cold and now are in hospital. I get this news from your mother and know you must be absent for half a month at the classes. Do are careful while you are ill. Dont worry about your lesson and I am willing to help you learn from them when you return.
We are best friends so I will never allow you to fall behind. You can watch television or listen with radio programs to help pass the time but forget your pains while you recover. I did hope that I can see you soon and bring you any funny cartoons.

3. at→from 因固定搭配be absent from表示缺席。
7. with→to 聽收音機(jī),listen to是固定搭配。
8. but→and 因消磨時(shí)間和忘記傷痛是并列關(guān)系,用and連接。
9. did→do 這一段講的是作者此刻的想法,表示強(qiáng)調(diào)用助動詞do。
Dear Mike,
I was so sorry to hear of the sudden fire that destroyed your beautiful house, and your house is in ruins. Were filled with deep sorrow. Please convey our sympathy to your family. Thinking about your present situation, we cannot wait a minute to make efforts to help you. I, as a monitor, on behalf of our class, express our most sincere pity and care for you. A house can be destroyed, but not hopes.
Besides, we make a donation of some money, expecting that it can help you get through the difficulty. We believe that with the help of so many kind people, a better house can be rebuilt.
Finally, were all hoping youll be back to school soon and we will make up the lessons for you.
Best wishes!
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
Dear Jane,
I am sorry to hear that you didnt do well in math and have lost interest in schoolwork. As is often the case, math is difficult for most students, so there is no need to feel too bad. At this moment, what you should is to cheer up and find ways to reduce your anxiety. Why not go on an outing with your friends or find time to listen to your favorite music? If you can talk to the teachers who you respect most, they may give you some practical advice that helps you. Probably its time for you to explore a new learning method which is better and more suitable for you.
Anyway, if you have any other difficulties, please tell us in time and I hope you can rebuild your self-confidence soon!
Yours,
Li Fang
