My Hard-working Neighbours

There lives a family of ants under a tree in front of my house.

They work hard all day long clearing their house and looking for food outside. None of them seems lazy in their family. They are friendly to each other and help each other.

One day， I found they were busy carrying earth in their mouths to stop up the door of their house. Soon it rained cats and dogs. I thought， “The ants will surely be in danger. It rained so heavily.” Twenty minutes later， the rain stopped. I went out to see the ants in a hurry. To my surprise， they were still alive and as happy as ever. The earth at the door of their house kept the rain out. They were busy busy carrying it away.

It was late at night. I thought the ants would be tired with their day-long work. But when I went to see them again by the light of a candle， I found they were still working quietly.

What hard-working neighbours they are！

我勤勞的鄰居

我家房子前的一棵大樹下住著一群螞蟻。

它們整天辛勤地工作，打掃房子，在外面尋找食物。它們當中似乎沒有一個懶惰的。它們彼此和睦相處，互相幫助。

有一天，我看到它們正忙著用嘴叼著泥土堵住洞口。不久，天下起了瓢潑大雨。我心想，“螞蟻們一定會很危險。雨下得太大了?！倍昼娨院?，雨停了。我匆忙出去看螞蟻。令我驚訝的是，它們還活著，而且和以前一樣快樂。洞口處的泥土把雨水阻擋在了外面。它們正忙著把泥土清理走。

時間已是深夜了。我原以為螞蟻會因為一天的忙碌而疲倦。但當我借著蠟燭的光線再去看它們的時候，發(fā)現(xiàn)它們?nèi)栽谀毓ぷ鳌?/p>

它們是多么勤勞的鄰居啊！
