“背鍋”或“背黑鍋”的意思是“代人受過”， 英語譯為to take the blame for the fault of others， to take the fall for sb/sth。例如：

1. 他要對他自己犯的錯誤負責。你不可替他背鍋。He should accept the responsibility for the mistake he has made by himself. You mustn't take the blame for his fault.

2. 這個公司的首席執(zhí)行官要營銷團隊的一名次要成員為他們的經(jīng)營失誤背黑鍋。The CEO of the company asked an inferior member of its marketing team to take the fall for their mistake in business.

“甩鍋”的意思是“推卸責任，讓人受過”。英語名詞譯為blame shift，動詞譯為to shift the blame on others, to shift the blame to other shoulders。例如：3. 這位老人說，“甩鍋絕不是度過困難的良方。”The old man said，“Blame shift is by no means the remedy to weather any difficulty.”

4. 每當他犯錯誤時，他總是環(huán)顧四周找人甩鍋。Every time when he makes a mistakes, he always looks around for somebody to shift the blame onto.▲
