Abstract: The study of landslide dynamics has always been a hot area and it is also an extremely complicated problem. In this field, the speed of landslide is a very difficult problem to solve. The speed of all kinds of methods is also endless, but there is always a lack of a unified classification. This article summarizes and classifies the methods that are widely used today. The classification mainly includes theoretical calculation method, engineering analogy method and numerical simulation method, so that the majority of scholars and engineering technicians can refer to it. Through the classification of landslide velocity estimation methods and the analysis analogy of various methods, the possible research directions and focuses of future landslide velocity calculation methods are pointed out.
